This book had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. The suspense, the romantic build up, and one seriously bad guy had me reading every line with anticipation. Jerrie Alexander’s character development is simply superb. I felt a connection and could relate to each one of the pages. When forced to put the book down to tend to life (which I so did not want to put the book down), my mind was with the story whether I was doing dishes, folding laundry or going to bed. I could not get Catherine or Matt out of my head! This fast paced novel is a must read. I give the book 4.5 crowns.

Catherine was on the run from her past when she rolled into town. Matt had already ran from his past and was now a small town sheriff. Their hearts collide but will they be able to put their fears aside and trust each other with their secrets?
The killer believes Catherine will be his perfect green eyed doll. Will Matt be able to find the killer before he gets to Catherine? The hunt is on during one of the worst droughts that Texas has ever seen and time is running short to find the monster.

I could not get this book out of my mind. It’s one of those stories that has you thinking about it even when you aren’t reading it. The chemistry between Catherine and Matt nearly sets the pages on fire! Their relationship is so tender despite their fears and trust issues.
The suspense and horror of who the killer might be and what he might do next will keep you on the edge of your seat and up all night. The insights into the killer’s mind make it even more scary and thought provoking. It makes you wonder……..
The Green Eyed Doll has the perfect mixture of romance and suspense. I can’t wait to read another book by Jerrie Alexander (which will hopefully be about Ash). I have found another author to add to my favorites list.
If I were to give this book a star rating it would most definitely deserve 5 out of 5!

The Green-Eyed Doll is a romantic thrill ride. Jerrie Alexander manages to keep you guessing about the killer and build a heart stopping love story. The characters of Matt and Catherine are so beautifully written I could read their love story over and over. The added excitement of the killer and Matt and Catherine’s problematic histories just enhanced the emotions of the book. With Matt and Catherine’s happily ever after all I could hope for was that a few of the other characters got their own books so that they can have a happily ever after too. I hope for Ash to find that right woman to saddle him and make him into a better man just like Catherine did Matt. Overall, I would completely recommend this book and suggest you have the time to read it in one sitting because you are not going to want to put this book down.
